When you choose to hold your wedding reception at Surlingham Manor, the Manor is yours. There will be no hotel guests roaming around and no areas reserved for other parties. The only people you will see are the people who matter most to you, those you have personally invited to share your special day.

The manor marquee

The manor marquee seats up to 126 people and is available for your exclusive hire. The marquee fits beautifully in to the house grounds and delivers an ideal space to host a wedding breakfast and evening reception.

Food and wine

Food and wine should perfectly compliment your personal tastes and style of wedding. We work closely with a few trusted partners in the catering and wine industry, who have an intimate knowledge of Surlingham Manor and make it their mission to deliver first-class catering for your wedding day.

You may consider a formal seated wedding breakfast, a buffet, a BBQ, a meal with a particular theme or even a special breakfast at the house for your guests to enjoy the morning after the wedding. Whatever your ideas and preferences, we can make it happen.

Rooms above and beyond

There’s nothing more convenient than a comfortable bed close by when tiredness sets in! At Surlingham Manor, you are Lord and Lady of your own manor and for the duration of your stay, the house belongs to you. Therefore, you and your chosen guests can retire to one of the stylish rooms above or to the romantic lodge, just a few steps away.

For guests who are not staying the night at the manor, we can recommend a list of quality accommodation close by.

Photography

Whilst you are welcome to select your own photographer, we are proud to offer you the services of our partner photographer, Pure Photography. Specialising in an unobtrusive, reportage style of photography, Pure can begin with the bride getting ready and end with the last dance. This can be combined with a selection of group shots chosen by you. The after care service is also recommended, where by your photographer will work with you to help you select the design and style of photographs to appear in your treasured wedding album.

Planning your wedding

Detail is paramount to ensuring that every occasion is perfect from beginning to end.

You will be offered the professional services of our resident wedding planner prior to your wedding and on the day itself.

Their role is to ensure that your vision unfolds just as you imagined. They will act as your own personal wedding assistant with the aim of:

• listening to your ideas and understanding your vision
• helping you to work out the perfect format for your day
• sourcing the suppliers who can most accurately create your vision
• co-ordinating preparations in the lead up
• managing every aspect on the day
• removing obstacles and stress, so that you, your family and your friends are able to focus on enjoying the celebrations
• never losing sight of the fact that this is your special day
